Journey through South Tyrol’s Pinot Noir Heaven

The Pinot Noir Trail is a new cultural and wine-themed trail that winds through the renowned Pinot Noir growing region along the Trudner Horn Nature Park. Starting from the characteristic villages of Auer/Ora, Montan/Montagna, and Neumarkt/Egna, the trail passes through Italy's best Pinot Noir vineyards in Mazon, Glen, and Pinzon.

You can choose between a full-day hike of 16 kilometers or three half-day walks. Along the way, hikers encounter historical and cultural treasures such as the significant archaeological site of Castelfeder, the old Val di Fiemme railway line, the Pinzon Church of St. Stephen with its late Gothic Hans Klocker altar, the idyllic St. Michael Church in Mazon, the Kaldiff ruins, or the imposing Enn Castle.

Informative panels and interactive stations bring the unique wine-growing region and its history to life. Beautiful viewpoints over the valley reward hikers along the route. The elevation gain is moderate, but the trail offers plenty to discover and experience for both young and old. This wine-themed trail is family-friendly and safe.
