Corno Bianco
Corno Bianco
An easily accessible mountain with views
Corno Bianco (2,313m) and its non-identical twin Corno Nero are connected by Passo Oclini. Corno Bianco is easily climbed and a worthwhile mountain with views. The mountain consists of light rocks, the summit of white sarl dolomite. The rocks on neighbouring Corno Nero are reddish-brown Bolzano quartz porphyry.
Tour tip to Corno Bianco:
The most popular tour up Corno Bianco starts on Passo Oclini and runs across meadows and through larch-fields. The summit cross is at 2,313 m, the highest point of the mountain at 2,317 m.
From the summit cross you have stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys: Ortles Group, Ötztal Alps, Sciliar, Catinaccio, Latemar, Pala di Santa, Gruppo del Brenta and the villages Termeno, Caldaro and Appiano. In the foreground there are Redagno, Trodena and Pietralba.
