Renon benefits from the tallest and most beautifully shaped earth pyramids in Europe. The material that makes these pyramids is approx. 25.000 years old. When it’s dry the moraine clay is rock-hard, when it rains it softens and slides down. Protected by the rock formations, the earth pyramids developed over time. The largest and most beautiful earth pyramids are thousands of years old. When the covering stone fall down, every rainfall causes the pyramid to disappear a little further.

Surrounded by forest and gentle hills, Lago di Costalovara is situated near Soprabolzano. In the summer the lake with its outstanding water quality offers refreshment at its best. Fishers value the lake for its large stock of fish. In the winter the lake freezes completely and invites to fun on ice skating. Entertainment throughout the year: walks around the lake!

Corno del Renon offers stunning, unhindered panoramic views. The panorama stretches from Monte Putia and Le Odle to Sciliar, on to Catinaccio and Latemar to Corno Nero and Corno Bianco. In the North are the Sarntal Alps and behind them the Stubai Alps. On many clear days you can even make out Monte Ortles and Großglockner from Corno del Renon.

The hiking region Renon awaits you with over 300 kilometres of hiking paths. The gentle walks on the beautiful Renon promenades are ideal for those who like pleasurable hikes, the demanding trails in high altitude on Corno del Renon are perfect for passionate hikers. Whichever tour you opt for: the unique views of the surrounding mountains will always be with you.

Conquering the sun plateau by bike. The bike routes on Renon invite to pleasurable rides. The Renon cable car takes you down into the valley, where the whole of the South Tyrolean cycle network is open to you, from gentle tours on the Adige cycle path to demanding pass routes on a racing bike, and MTB tours in the mountains.

The Kaserhof farm is the home of lamas and alpacas. Once a week you can get to know these creatures from South America on a lama trek. This is a unique experience only on Renon.

15 km of sunny pistes with a stunning 360 degree mountain panorama. These are the impressive reasons in favour of the skiing region Corno del Renon. The accessible skiing region in an altitude between 1500 and 2270 m is ideal for families. Advanced skiers and snowboarders also enjoy Renon and glide down the pistes.

The Renon ice rink is the fastest outdoor speed skating rink in the world! The top quality ice, the panoramic views and the location at 1100 m are greatly appreciated by international speed skaters. On several occasions important competitions took place on the Renon ice rink.
