Hiking and Experiencing Südtirols Süden The Schwarz-Weiß-Trail is the first long-distance hiking trail in the South Tyrolean Lowlands, stretching over 80 kilometers, divided into 6 stages. It takes you through a diverse landscape shaped by both alpine and Mediterranean influences, highlighting the contrasts of the region, such as languages, borders, rock formations, mountains and valleys, as well as the coexistence of alpine and Mediterranean cultures. Along the route, more than
135 installations and information panels provide insights into history, nature, and local curiosities. In addition to the main trail, there are
10 village loops, offering a chance to discover the unique characteristics of each settlement.
The Trail allows you to explore the region at your own pace, whether by completing a single stage, combining multiple sections, or opting for a village loop. Along the way, numerous rest stops and accommodations invite you to relax and experience the local cuisine.
For a safe hike, it is recommended to have appropriate gear, check the weather conditions, and follow mountain safety guidelines.
The official Schwarz-Weiß-Trail website provides detailed information about the stages, alternative routes, accommodations, and useful planning tips.
