The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle & Touriseum
The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle and Touriseum
Botany and the history of tourism
Stretching over 12 ha, the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle contain over 80 blossoming and thriving themed gardens with plants from all over the world. Adventure stations, themed gardens, artists’ pavilions and a lake stage make these botanical gardens a true world of adventure: it is no coincidence that a few years ago the gardens were given the award “Most beautiful gardens in the world”.
In the grounds of the botanical gardens there is also the Touriseum museum.
In an original way the Touriseum conveys 200 years of the history of tourism in Tyrol and Merano.
