Summer of culture in Bolzano
Bolzano dances, makes music and jams
Every summer the parks, historic Piazzas and architectural jewels of the historic centre of Bolzano are the backdrop for an extraordinary festival with international flair. It starts in April with the Bolzano Film Festival.
Bolzano Film Festival
For over 30 years the Bolzano film club has been inviting prominent personalities from the film sector to Bolzano and has shown interesting and less well known films from young and established filmmakers.

South Tyrol Jazz Festival Alto Adige
At the South Tyrol Jazz Festival Alto Adige, a firm fixture in the European jazz calendar, international stars gather to perform. From the end of June to the beginning of July high quality jazz music can be heard in the mountains, in jazz cellars, castles and in the streets of South Tyrol.

Bolzano Danza Dance
The summer of dance in Bolzano is the focal point for contemporary dance in all of Italy. Alongside numerous premiers a comprehensive programme of established pieces is offered: From the middle of July to the end children and adults, beginners and advanced dancers can try out the various dance disciplines together with choreographs from all over the world.

Bolzano Festival Bozen
In August and September the festival unites Bolzano’s classical music scene under one roof: The Festival for Old Music Antiqua, the two resident Bolzano orchestras European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (GMJO), the International Piano Competition Ferruccio Busoni with its own piano festival and the Gustav Mahler Academy.
